Steven Hart will be presenting "Greener Agriculture, Healthier Forests, Cleaner Waters? Feasibility Studies for Agricultural Biochar Amendment" at Arizona Water Association's 88th Annual Conference and Exhibition on Wednesday, May 6. Steven's talk focuses on the application of biochar from agricultural wastes and forest thinning as a soil amendment to improve crop yields. This work is funded by a P3: People, Prosperity and the Planet Student Design Competition for Sustainability grant.

Bradley Lusk from the Swette Center for Environmental Biotechnology and Hansa Done from the Center for Environmental Security will be presenting about the beneficial uses of bacteria at the Burton Barr Library during this Thursday's Science Cafe from 6:00PM-7:00PM.
